Chinese Green Tea - Jasmine with Flowers

Tea scented with jasmine is an old established Chinese tradition. Green tea is layered alternately with fresh jasmine flowers to ensure that the scent is evenly absorbed into the tea. The Chinese often serve jasmine tea with meals. May contain flowers.

Use 1 heaped teaspoon per cup and steep for 2 minutes in 90°C water.

Chinese White Tea - Dragon Phoenix Pearl

This is our most exotic tea. Picked during April and May, only the top 2 leaves and a bud are used. They are stored until August until the most fragrant jasmine flowers are in bloom. Jasmine flowers open at night releasing their intoxicating scent. The delicate tea leaves and buds are introduced to the jasmine flowers each evening for about a week after which the flowers are discarded. The tea leaves, having absorbed the scent, are then hand rolled into tiny pearl shaped balls.
To best appreciate this exquisite tea, we recommend brewing it in the cup. Pour boiling water into a cup and allow to cool slightly. Add around ten pearls to the water. After 3 or 4 minutes the leaves will unfurl and drop to the bottom releasing their wonderful flavour and aroma.

Scented Black Tea - Earl Grey

Tea labelled 'Earl Grey' can be found in most supermarkets these days but this is invariably of very poor quality. These blends are often made from fannings and flavoured with bergamot extract. A true Earl Grey is made from a blend of various black teas (normally Chinese but sometimes Indian and Ceylon teas) combined with the highly aromatic oil obtained from the rind of fresh bergamot fruit. Our multi-award winning Earl Grey is a fine example of the style made from a blend of high quality Ceylon teas and fresh Sicilian bergamot oil. We urge all Earl Grey drinkers to try this one.

Use 1 heaped teaspoon per cup and steep for 3 minutes in boiling water.

Indian Green Tea - Darjeeling Arya GFTGFOP1 Jasmine

Use 1 heaped teaspoon per cup and steep for 2 minutes in 80°C water.

Scented Black Tea - Smoky Earl Grey

This is a blend of our superb Earl Grey and deliciously smokey Lapsang Souchong. The result is a satisfying cup having a fruity bergamot flavour enhanced by a subtle smokiness.

Scented by the addition of large rose petals, this fine tea has a subtle sweetness and can be enjoyed at any time of day.
