Most High Street skin and hair products and virtually all so-called 'natural' skin care products sold in this country contain the inexpensive detergent Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) which, when mixed with salt, produces lots of foam giving the impression of expensive luxury. This coconut derivative is, however, so aggressive that it is used commercially to degrease engines and garage floors. Not the sort of product anyone would want to use on his or her delicate skin.

Aurora takes pride in offering a range of skin and hair products, devised for us in Sweden, which are 100% free from animal by-products and petro-chemicals using nothing but natural, raw materials from the vegetable kingdom.

We describe our moisturising creams as 'luxury' because that's exactly what they are. Our entire range contains pure essential oils and mountain spring water with twelve different face, hand or body creams/lotions ideally formulated for whatever your age, skin type or needs might be.

We also provide a choice of six gentle shampoos, suitable for blonde (chamomile, marigold), brown/black (nettle, birch, horsetail), red (birch, horsetail) or grey hair (marigold).

Conditions such as inflammation, hair loss, over productive sebaceous glands, dryness, poor circulation and loss of lustre may all be improved through the use of these gentle but effective products. There is even a hair and body shampoo containing pure essential oil of orange, ylang ylang, rosewood, cedarwood, lemon and mandarin which have been chosen for both their aromatherapeutic benefits as well as their kindness to the skin, making it particularly appropriate for children.

The gentle but powerful anti bacterial and fungicidal properties of tea-tree oil combined with the soothing and healing powers of lavender oil provide the basis for the Aurora Tea-Tree Collection. Although not exhaustive, some of the conditions that may benefit from regular use of the appropriate tea-tree product include eczema, mild psoriasis, sunburn, minor burns, fungal infections of the feet and nails and scalp conditions (including head lice).
